How to Store LuxArchival® Sanded Art Paper Sheets and Rolls

LuxArchival® Sanded Art Paper is easy to store. The main goals are to keep sheets flat, protect the sanded surface from unnecessary rubbing or physical damage, and store the paper in a dry environment.

Storing LuxArchival® Rolls

The simplest and best storage for an unused or partially used roll is the original clear protective bag and shipping box in which it arrived.

The 6 × 6 × 50-inch shipping box helps protect the roll from accidental dents, crushing, dust, insects, and other studio hazards.

After cutting the portion you need, return the remaining roll to its protective bag and box until the next use.

Storing Cut Sheets

Store cut LuxArchival sheets flat whenever possible.

Packaged sheets are best kept in the original acid-free clear bags. The bags fit the sheets closely and help protect the sanded surface from dust, rubbing, and accidental damage.

Sheets cut from a roll can be stored in similar protective packaging of an appropriate size.

Protect the Sanded Surface

LuxArchival has an abrasive working surface. Although it is extremely durable during artistic use, unused sheets do not benefit from being rubbed against one another or against other materials.

Avoid sliding tools, boards, or loose materials across the sanded surface during storage.

Storage Environment

Store LuxArchival in a dry indoor environment, just as you would other high-quality paper and professional art materials.

Avoid locations where the paper could be exposed to excessive humidity, condensation, water, or physical damage.

If You Cut a Piece From a Roll

A freshly cut piece may retain some curl from being stored on the roll.

Return the remaining roll to its original packaging. The cut piece can be flattened separately before use.
